Thank you for your post.

Just like, "Everybody IS, to some fucking degree, a victim of their circumstances", I read somewhere, "..we all are also part of the system that oppresses others in one or another..we are all culpable, impure." And so if we keep that in mind, we also don't think that "I couldn't do that..", I think humans are all fully capable of doing anything that someone else has done, no matter how far from reality, from us, we think that is..it's closer, just need the right environment for it to unravel.

(Consider it a braindump rather than trying to add more or improve upon your writing 🙏)

I really appreciate you taking the time to read my essays/thoughts and words! Thank you for sharing, I SO hear you. I’m currently trying to figure out how to nourish my own soil so I may grow the flowers in this life that I so truly want to grow (so many dreams).

Loved listening while making breakfast. So we’ll said. Things I’d want to say, but not be able to do so well. I really think you’ll love Robert Sapolsky, especially his book Determined.

Thanks for listening! It was almost a stream of consciousness piece. I do need to read Robert Sapolsky!

But I also have truly enjoyed watching the Kardashians. I don’t agree with wealthy disparity and capitalism, clearly, but that show has been very entertaining and is a unique opportunity to observe, obviously in a highly curated way, the course of time with a family. And they do show some pretty raw emotional experiences/processes, and they also do some good work in the world (e.g., Kim working to free individuals from prison/death row (this exposing viewers to some of the injustice of the carcarel system).

Hey I didn’t know that Kim did this work, thank you for enlightening me. That is fair enough, and we all have that voyeur within us that wants to see how other human beings live so I do understand the curiosity. It was a harsh statement, I just generally hate reality TV and entertainment that feels like fast food vs a well-told story but that is pretentious of me in this day and age. I just find so much of our mainstream culture so devoid of substance. But then again I get pulled into pop culture by still enjoying some pop music, etc. We all need escapism!

This is such a spectacular piece, Laura. I felt the first half so deeply in my bones. The incessant and glorious desire to be in constant questioning. Letting questions live within us. So many goosebumps. I found this idea of celebrity talent as "ordinary" so fascinating to explore. I've been thinking about celebrity culture a lot and the exaltation of ordinary talent. FUCK that's good.

Giselle, you have just made my week. A favourite writer even seeing your comment and replying is special to me, in this age of information and endless distraction, (and generally, overwhelm?)… but then the favourite writer taking the time to read your essay, AND COMMENT, feels like the virtual equivalent of a hug. And a tea shared. ☕️ I think I found such resonance in your essays for this incessant questioning, and critical thinking, that’s so refreshingly candid, like reading my own thoughts, eloquently summarised on the internet… and with so much heart, and humour! I love that you delight in pop culture, whilst being a loyal student of magic and mysticism. Me too. As you have read, I’m also existentially inclined and political, yet a lover of poetry. It’s just so nice to find other women on the internet with critical minds, huge hearts and rebellious spirits. You inspire me! Thank you for reading me, Giselle! ♥️

Laura, you have done such a marvelous job at capturing the emotions, thoughts and most importantly, the uncertainties that we're all experiencing and the anxieties that accompany them. They are rather novel and also awe-inducing, as you describe. I love the way in which you weave throughout the piece that the theme of inquiry- sacred inquiry. It's seems that we don't just begin with them, but we also finish with them too. Love this and love you and your brain and heart!!!

Hey Laura. I enjoyed your writing. I appreciate your words regarding the backwards society that we live in at the moment. Also, the discussion why bad things happen to good people, in example the warfare happening around the world.

Sharing my perspective, the western world has been created from a consistent recline of the collective consciousness in humanity, and that is a result of many humans having unprocessed emotions and thoughts within them, unprocessed information/unilluminated darkness. This has been encouraged by the use of Western technology to disconnect us from ourselves, our nature mother, our father spirit/sky, and each other

Example, in Western world we are trained to need things external to us to such an excessive degree - If we seek energy, we are encouraged to but energy drinks, tablets, pills, coffee, external supplements. Whereas we can source that from ourselves through reminding us of our motivations and inspirations

In Western world we are encouraged to seek connection through the paradox of social media. Instead of through the meeting of those right next to us or around us in real life

In Western world, we are encouraged that fun is a never ending waterfall of hedonism - chasing pleasures. Where as fun is simply expressing your authentic self in whatever art chosen - tag, hide n seek, writing, dance, sing, building carving, gardening, stretching, stillness etc

Ultimately we depend on so much external technology that we forget of the sacred technology within ourselves. And thus we see the robotisation of humanity before our eyes, humans becoming dependent upon external technology for basic function

And because we use things outside of ourselves, we are forgetting how powerful and independent and sovereign we truly are. And this has allowed the mass of humanity to accept and believe in this backwards world.

That is some of my perspective to how we ended up in this place- with worldwide hunger poverty famine depression etc

Although I do see that times are changing. Away from the news, away from the concrete jungle first world, is where the "natural" life is. Spending time here is truly a place for many to find solace in solitude in processing all their unprocessed information for them to reconnect with themselves

And so this is what I see is happening, and will happen on a larger scale as consciousness is accelerating expansion. We as all humans need to reconnect with ourselves outside of this Western world. We need to learn who we are outside of this False society, so we may therefore become independent of it and live away from concrete jungle and live in rural communities (although I don't doubt that the concrete jungles will be remodelled and modified for a more natural lifestyle)

And this is happening fast. It's just that the news is not broadcasting it as the dark forces that designed this society (our own collective unconsciousness) are slowly being illuminated and therefore destroyed.

I must share that, although there is evil things in the world, there is equivalent good things in the world. It's just that the western technology: TV, social media, newspaper, radio won't broadcast it.

So I believe it is important to disconnect from the intentional low information from the western technology. As it limits our mentality and therefore our frequency

In regards to why bad things happen to good people. That is an interesting topic as many answers are available. My personal favourite is that it's all perspective. We all know suffering is the required component for growth and development. As without suffering we wouldn't be forced to love our selves more.

Some may say what about the world wide wars. In my perspective, these people suffering from the wars are just the same as people suffering from the robotisation and unconscious promotion in first world society. In fact, if anything, as their suffering is more intensive and brings them closer to death, they see their release from the illusion of separation (human and God and all) faster than those in the first world. I see it as they have paid their due service through the release of their death.

And about all the widowers and war survivors? This may be harsh to read, but they have just endured huge rounds of unconsciousness, and thus their great suffering is upto them to use as a method of self pity and destruction, or motivation inspiration for self construction.

Thus I conclude that suffering is always an opportunity of disguise

As the more hurt you hold in your heart, the more potential you have to illuminate that darkness and develop yourself into the beautiful divine authentic expression of life/god/love/consciousness you are.

You are 100% accurate in the statement that egotistical or sociopath humans are more likely to reach higher levels in this western world. And that's how it's designed to be, to train us to sell our authenticity. To sell our souls for a material thing such as wealth status or fame. Those that are true to themselves know these are all finite things that have no bearing on your success in this life

Those that are true know that success is a measure of how much of your own darkness you illuminate, and how much of others you help illuminate, and thus your overall contribution to the worldwide expansion of consciousness.

I empathise with you Laura, but know that, in the silence, in the darkness. So many souls are developing themselves into beautiful beings, that the news won't talk about. So many limiting belief systems in the 1D thought realm are being incinerated with flames of mercury by those who are curious, who ask why. Such as yourself.

I would like to share my last perspective in regarding to we didn't choose where we were born, who we were born into etc. It makes sense to me, that we as souls chose who we would be born into this world, in alignment with our karmic debt and our souls potential. As in we chose who we were born into. And thus we consistently choose who we become day by day, decision by decision. To me this makes sense, and I attest to this by the feeling of familiarity I have with some souls that tells me I have been with them before, in a different life, as shown to me in my astral travels/exploration of subconscious

Once again thanks for your writing I appreciate sincerely the topics you choose to talk about as I see them of high relevance in today's time. Blessings to you!
